Allegations involving vulnerable adults
A vulnerable adult is someone over the age of 18 who has care and/or support needs
There are several types of adult abuse:
- Physical abuse
- Sexual abuse
- Financial abuse
- Discriminatory abuse
- Emotional/Psychological abuse
- Neglect (and acts of omission)
- Self-neglect
- Organisational/institutional abuse
- Domestic abuse
- Modern slavery
