Much needed works to improve the surface of the popular South Staffordshire Railway Walk in the Wombourne area is set to commence on Monday, 10th February.
The resurfacing project, which is expected to last approximately four weeks is being funded by the UK Shared Prosperity Fund and aims to enhance local accessibility while promoting sustainable, active travel options for residents and visitors.
To facilitate these essential upgrades, sections of the pathway, including access points, will be temporarily closed for public use. The affected areas include:
- North from Common Road to the Station at Bratch
- South from Common Road towards Himley Plantation
We appreciate the community’s patience and support as we work to create a smoother and more accessible route.
If you have any questions about the work, then please contact 01902 696000.
