Localities+ connecting our workforce. Supporting our communities.

A brand-new video has been released to showcase the work being undertaken to support communities across South Staffordshire.

Through the Localities+ model, South Staffordshire Council divides the district into five ‘localities’, ensuring services and support are provided in a relevant and effective manner, rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach.

The video features work in each of the five localities, highlighting community projects such as the Penkridge Litter Pickers, maintaining Essington Pools, the Warm Hub in Codsall, and the launch of Kinver markets.

These initiatives are facilitated by Locality Enablers, South Staffordshire employees from various specialisms, most of whom are dedicated to specific localities.

Remarking on the video and the broader Localities+ work, Leader of South Staffordshire Council, Councillor Roger Lees, said:

“Our commitment to supporting communities is embodied by our dedicated Locality Enablers. By working closely with local groups and representatives, we ensure that our services are both relevant and responsive to the unique needs of each area. We empower communities to thrive and solve their own challenges.”
