Huge congratulations to the South Staffordshire Council team for their shortlisting of Codsall Community Hub, going on to win the ‘Smaller Better Greener’ award, as announced at the Government Property Awards held in central London this month.
The awards, in their 5th year, comprise developments and programmes from across the public sector. Applications for these prestigious awards come from every area of Government and cover almost every area of the property profession and public service, providing a unique opportunity for property professionals from across the public sector to celebrate successes and to recognise individuals and teams who have made a real difference.
Codsall Community Hub won the smaller, better, greener category for the team that demonstrated exceptional commitment and implemented a project that delivered a smaller, better and greener public estate.
The project delivered property solutions for a complex network of partners, including the NHS, police, local government, business and community organisations. Opened in 2022, the Hub integrates diverse services under one roof, breaking down silos and addressing cross-cutting challenges. Plus running costs are reduced and the carbon footprint is smaller.
The Codsall Community Hub is a shining example of delivering higher quality, fit for purpose, shared, more efficient, productive, and sustainable estate, bringing about transformative change for local people and creating a model for integrated public services.
